About Dotcopy

My name is Dorothy Grindlay, I am the Dot who writes the copy.

I decided to start working as a freelance medical writer after several years of working within an award- winning agency with a very wide marketing portfolio including advertising, medical education, digital communications and PR.

So Dotcopy was born.

Professional:

I was the first, permanently employed, full-time writer at Brand(x) - now ICC Lowe London - and had the privilege of learning about strategy and branding from Mike Young and Sean Cush.

I wrote across advertising, medical education, digital communications and PR.

Further development:

I was accepted onto and completed the D&AD integrated advertising course. This course allowed me, along with Anthony Foster (my design partner), to create consumer advertising concepts and visit several agencies where our work was critiqued.

Education:

I have two degrees, the first focussed on physiology, psychology and biochemistry. The second degree specialised in biochemistry. During my studies I learnt that I am easily bored and I love learning new things. So becoming a freelance medical writer was the perfect choice of profession for me.
